3D-Printing Solution

Progress 3DI offers a turnkey solution for a 3D printing system. Our core product is a concrete 3D printer. It is supported by our software and Autodesk software that prepares the designed 3D models and converts the model into a 3D printable file. In our silo, your dry cement and aggregates are stored, the mixing plant mixes the material, and the pump delivers the mixed concrete to the printer. The changeable boxes in which printing takes place allow 24/7 production. Various quality control systems complete the overall system, which monitor the printing operation and enable an industrial standard.

Hardware

With its unique design, the SPI10 is the perfect solution for a variety of applications. Depending on customer requirements, the printer can be built larger or smaller. As standard, the printer has a build volume of 10m². This means that parts with the following dimensions can be printed: 4x2,5x1 m. All parts comply with the standards of the Progress Group, which has been developing machines and equipment for the construction industry for 60 years.

The hardware includes all components that are necessary to print objects. All components are coordinated with each other to achieve the best possible performance. The hardware includes the following components:

  • Silos
  • Batch mixer incl. buffer tank
  • Material handling systems
  • 3D printer
  • Exchangeable jobboxes

Software

The software in our system consists of 2 parts:

Autodesk Netfabb: We have teamed up with a strong partner for the entire processing and preparation of the 3D models. In Netfabb, 3D models can be easily reworked, adapted and packed into the construction box. The program then slices the models and sends the entire data to Concrete 3D in the new 3mf format.

Concrete 3D: The 3D printing system is controlled via the in-house developed software. This means that all silos, the mixer, the printer and the quality control are controlled from a central point and are perfectly adapted to our hardware.

Material

We also take a different approach to material development. As a machine and plant manufacturer, we want to supply customers with a complete system, but without making them dependent on us. Over the last few years, we have built up Kno-How to adjust conventional cements so that they can be printed with our printers. This gives the user a transparent view of all costs, allows him to work with products he is familiar with and reduces the carbon footprint through local sourcing. The same applies to the aggregates, which can also be set so that they are compatible with our equipment.

Support Tasks

Our complete system is completed by further supporting tasks. This means:

  • Our customers get a training in our house, where we run a 3D printing production ourselves.
  • The printer will be installed and put into operation by qualified employees.
  • Knowhow which we have collected over the last years in projects we pass on to the customers. No one should make the same mistake twice.
  • In case of problems, a technician can solve the problems or give instructions to the production staff via remote maintenance.
  • Our quality monitoring system documents all print jobs.
